Essential Behavior & Attitude

What is Attitude ?
------------------

Attitude means our feelings and thoughts about a thing, situation, or person. It is an internal perception in our mind, which reflects our feelings and thoughts. Our attitude can be positive or negative.

In Positive Attitude you keep your mindset flexible and hopeful, you consider challenges as opportunities and have an attitude of learning. You learn from your mistakes and help others.

Some Example of Positive Attitude:-
-----------------------------------

Example_1_(Optimism in Difficult Situations):If you have been given a tough project and the deadline is close, but you think, "This is difficult, but I can handle it. If I stay focused, everything will happen on time."

This is a positive attitude because you are looking at challenges as opportunities and trust your abilities.

Example_2_(Helping Others): When you see your coworker struggling, you help him and say, "It doesn't matter, we will solve it together."

This attitude is of support and kindness towards others, in which you use your energy and resources to help others.

Example_3_(Gratitude): You express gratitude for the good things in your life every day, such as "I should be grateful for my family, health and job."

This is a positive attitude, in which you appreciate the small joys and blessings of your life.

Example_4_(Growth Mindset): If you did not get a good score in an exam, you are saying, "Okay, this was a setback, but I will do better next time. I got to learn from this."

This is a positive attitude, because you are considering failure as a part of your improvement and learning.

In Negative Attitude your focus is on frustration, complaints, and blame. You concentrate too much on your limitations and hinder your growth.

Some Example of Negative Attitude:-
-----------------------------------

Example_1_(Pessimism in Difficult Situations): You have been given a tough task and you are thinking, "This is difficult, I won't be able to do it. It may not be completed on time."

This is a negative attitude because you are doubting your capabilities and you feel that things may be wrong.

Example_2_(Blaming Others): If you miss your project deadline, you blame others, "It's all because of them. If they had done the work on time, this problem wouldn't have happened."

This is a negative attitude because instead of taking responsibility, you blame others. Problems are not solved with such an attitude.

Example_3_(Fixed Mindset): If you are given a difficult task and you think, "This is not my job, I can never do this."

This is a negative attitude in which you are limiting your growth and improvement, and are giving up before the challenges.

What is Behavior ?
------------------

Behavior means a person's external action, behavior, or response that is shown in a situation, environment, or during interaction with others. It reflects our emotions, thoughts, and values, and determines the way we react in our surroundings.

Key-points of Behavior:-
------------------------
1) External Actions:

Example: how you talk, how you react, how you help someone, or how you handle your responsibilities—all of these are aspects of your behavior.
Behavior is not just the result of what you think or feel, but is your external actions that you show to others.

2) Observable:

Example: If you are happy sitting with your friend and you are laughing, then this is your positive behavior. If you are frustrated with some problem and are hitting the wall, then this can be negative behavior.
Behavior is such actions that other people can see directly, like your body language, tone of voice, or your response in a situation.

3) Influenced by Attitude, Emotions, and Thoughts:

Example: If your attitude is positive, your behavior will generally be positive—such as being friendly to others, helping others, etc. If your attitude is negative, your behavior may be closed off, aggressive, or distant.
Our emotions, attitudes, and thoughts directly influence our behavior. If you feel that a situation is unfair, your behavior will react to that feeling.

Impact of Behavior:
-------------------
On Self: Your behavior shapes your personal growth. If you display disciplined and focused behavior, you are more likely to achieve your goals.

On Others: Your behavior influences others. If you display supportive and respectful behavior, others will interact with you in a more positive way.

Examples of Behavior:
---------------------

Positive Behavior Example:-

  1. Situation: You are helping your colleague before a deadline in the office.
  2. Behavior: You are investing your time and energy in helping others, which is your supportive and cooperative behavior.

Negative Behavior Example:-

  1. Situation: You got delayed in traffic and you get angry and blow the horn and criticize others.
  2. Behavior: This is aggressive and impatient behavior, which shows your frustration and stress

How Change Happens:-
--------------------
1) Motivation is a psychological process that drives our thoughts, actions, and behaviors. It is the force that inspires and energizes us to achieve our goals. In simple terms, motivation is the thing that pushes us to do something, whether it is a small or big task.

2) Visualization is a powerful mental technique that helps you achieve your goals. It involves seeing yourself achieving a specific goal in your mind, or thinking about successfully completing a task. It is a mental rehearsal in which you imaginatively experience your desired outcome.

Your goal is to lose weight or give a successful presentation._(Focus on Your Goal)

$ If your goal is to give a presentation, then you see yourself presenting yourself confidently on stage, and the audience listening attentively to what you say._(Create a Mental Image)

If you are imagining giving a presentation, then you also feel your emotions, such as excitement, confidence._(Engage All Senses)

If you are achieving your weight loss goal, then you should see and feel yourself fit and healthy._(Positive Emotions)

3) Positive Feedback & Support is a type of response that appreciates a person's behavior, action, or performance. This feedback encourages that person and highlights their strengths, which increases their confidence in themselves and their actions.

4) Effort_(Not Ability) means the hard work, time, and energy you put in to do a task, whether or not you have the natural ability to do it. Effort is related to your actions, and it reflects your dedication, hard work, and commitment.

Ability: This is a natural skill or talent that a person naturally possesses. For example, if you have the talent for painting, you can make a good painting without much practice.

Effort: This is the work you do actively to achieve your goal, whether you have that natural talent or not. For example, if you are learning painting, you have to invest practice, time, and focus.
